To start with any business we require fund

We will start the business by keeping a limited fund

additional fund is required to expand the business

There are multiple ways to raise the fund

We can approach friends, family or bank to raise additional fund

In order to raise huge amount of fund we can approach exchange and plan for IPO

if set of protocols followed and eligibility criteria met, Stock can be planned for IPO - initial Public Offering

So fund can be raised from Pubic through IPO

IPO will be allotted to public based on either first come first serve basis

or based on who bid for the highest price

IPO will get listed in exchange and then anybody can trade on that particular stock

Stock Market Timings

9 to 9.07 , Pre - Opening for big money

9.15 to 3.30 - Open for Public for trade

Stock Market Indices

Nifty 50 - Represents 50 Stocks

Nifty Bank - Represents 12 Banking Sector Stocks

Equity Cash Market

Long Trade - Buy First , Sell Later - Valid till stock lifetime

Short Trade - Sell First, Buy Later - valid for intra-day only

Futures

In equity cash segment, no restrictions on Quantity

in Futures, Quantity must be in lots (quantity predefined)

Long and Short Trade can be executed in futures

Futures Expiry Day - Last Thursday of Every month

If we are trading in Futures , We need to be clear and confident on stock movement directions

Hedging is complicated in Futures

Options

Call, Put, Strike Price, ATM, OTM, ITM, Premium

If stock goes up , Buy CE or Sell PE

If Stock comes down, Buy PE  or Sell CE

If Money is compared to fire, Premium varies as below

Near Fire - At the money, Inside Fire - In the Money, Outside the fire - Out of the money

Many strategies can be implemented if one understands Options concepts

You can even make your own strategy

I always trade Options as its easy to hedge and follow no loss strategy and exit script with profit

Last Thursday will be options expiry day
